Even though she didn’t know it at the time, these expeditions as unofficial style advisor were a glimpse into her future.
Back in the early 1980s Anita found herself living in Florida with her (then) husband, Martin. She soon took advantage of an opportunity to join Fifth Avenue Collections, selling their line of jewelery, and immediately found that direct sales is something for which she has a definite talent.
When she went to help out a friend by accessorizing her line of clothing, Anita discovered the forerunner to the Destinations Fashions line and joined up immediately.
Anita quickly became an unqualified success in her business, and has managed to stay among the nation’s Top 10 in sales and teambuilding every year. She attributes this success to the fact that she doesn’t just sell clothing, she helps her customers to build a total look.
During her fifteen years in Florida, Anita was involved in a car accident which left her in a great deal of pain and with ever-worsening osteoarthritis. So, when she arrived back in Canada in January 2006, newly single, she took some time off to regroup and to focus on her health for a while.
In July 2006, Anita underwent a hip replacement and she now feels better than ever. During her recovery period, she went to visit a friend in Florida, and when she saw the new Destinations line she knew that she had to bring the products to Canada.
After a quick phone call to the owner of Destinations Fashions at Home, Anita became their pioneer representative in Canada, and found herself in charge of building a national network of fashion consultants.
Anita has already recruited several consultants, and is developing a network of clients who are thrilled to discover her line of fashions.
As if that isn’t keeping her busy enough, Anita still sews and designs many of her own clothes, and she also loves to produce window treatments for herself and friends.
Following her love of interior design she plans to take a home staging course so that she can help others, not only with their own personal look, but with their houses as well.
Anita also loves to travel, and she has traveled extensively across the US, as well as to Cancun and Curacao. She is currently planning a trip to Italy which she will probably take with her mother and a friend.
Anita is very excited to be introducing Destinations Fashions to Canada, and with her creativity, talent and passion she will surely make the company a huge success.
